I know that Star Trek is the more popular show, but I believe that Stargate, especially Stargate SG-1, is a better show than any Star Trek made.
Stargate SG-1 lasted 10 seasons, was a great show. Nothing I have seen compares overall.
It needs to be recognized as a big player in the Sci-fi genre with 3 different series' (SG-1, Atlantis, and Universe) and many movies that tie loose ends of the TV series shows.
How does everyone else feel about this? Do you think Stargate deserves the recognition I believe it does?

I think Stargate is just not comparable to Star Trek. That is just my biased opinion, but..
I really liked Stargate SG-1. Very imaginative and an incredible dynamic between the cast and the stories.

I think it definitely deserves more recognition, as it gets lost between all the Star Trek/Star Wars debates, but I don't know if I'd say it was better. I do think Stargate lost its way when it started with all the Ori nonsense, but that's just me. I love Ben Browder and Claudia Black, but I think SG-1 would have done better had they left Moebius as their series finale.
