New season begins Oct. 1. What have Booth and Brennan been doing since leaving the Jeffersonian? Will Cam and Arastoo ever get married? Will Angela and Hodgins have any more children? Where has Russ been all these years? Aubrey is awesome but damn it I miss Sweets.

Okay, finally watched both parts of the opening episodes, and a startling notion hit me: I would be okay if the show moved on from Booth and Brennan. Yes, they've been the focus of the show forever, but one of the great things about this show is how developed all of the supporting characters are. Yes, it's called "Bones," so not having her as the main focus would be weird. Maybe the show should have ended last season with them going off into the sunset. We'll never know now. It's like Buffy Season Five being the perfect end for the series, but then we would never have gotten episodes like "Once More with Feeling," "Tabula Rasa," and "Conversations with Dead People" (but mainly "Once More With Feeling"). What if there is something awesome in the pipeline and I just need to be patient?
And no, I don't mean the crossover event with Sleepy Hallow. I just can't with that. They may as well crossover with the Whedon-verse and have them hunting down puppet-Angel.
Notes:
RIP Jared Booth. Kind of an abrupt way to get rid of a character, but at least he got a resolution, unlike Russ.
Boo to Cam and Arastoo breaking up, but I suppose two happy couples in one show is enough.
Every time I see Caroline on the show, I can't separate her from the character the actress plays in the GEICO commercials, so now I keep seeing her bobbing to "The Final Countdown."
If you're awesome, you now have "The Final Countdown" stuck in your head.
