I finally watched the season two-part opener this morning, "XX" and "XY." The titles of the episodes are clever, as they tell you from whose perspectives we'll be seeing the action. Part one is all about Castle, while part two let's us see what Beckett's been doing since she went missing. Of course, now I wish I hadn't deleted the eps from my DVR, as there were several moments when I was holding my breath, or yelling, or cheering, or (at the end) crying. If you haven't seen the episodes, I recommend seeing them without spoilers (if that's even possible). Brief Notes: I miss Gates. New private security gal = awesome! Alexis is even more gorgeous, but how will her new "hobby" affect her education? Nathan Fillion is great at playing Nathan Fillion, but he bumped up his acting game in the last few moments and wow did he deliver (albeit quietly, as it should be). Stana Katic should not be allowed to be so talented and beautiful. OMG!

And obviously, I can't figure out when I'm in Admin mode or poster mode, so oops. <3

I agree with you on all points! I however did not catch the title name meaning, I was so caught up in the moment of the show. Brilliant.

I really hope they don't keep Beckett and Castle apart all season, but I suppose this is the creators' way of putting the zip back into their relationship, because heaven forbid a happy couple be on tv.

Okay, so episode 3, "PhDead," was a PhDuh for me. I read an interview where the current show runners are attempting to get Castle and Beckett back to the excitement of the early days. Um, isn't this why people in relationships have affairs, because they are trying to recapture the thrill of the chase of the early days? Is it too much to ask to show a committed relationship that grows and evolves and not "ooh let's split them up because that's the only way married people can be exciting?"
Okay, I just realized I posted this previously as well.
Notes: I watched a season one episode prior to watching this current one, and wow! Alexis has grown up! LOL at Ryan and Espo trying to go undercover as college students and being called out. The case must have been a snooze, because I can't even remember it. I know that this show is far from reality, but do we really expect that everyone in their lives is just so accepting of their split? Seriously, I can't remember what the case was.
